The General Council of the Assemblies of God Nigeria today 19th day of January 2018 ordained 455 ministers.
The General Secretary of the Assemblies of God Nigeria (Rev. Dr. Godwin Amaowoh) in his Address of welcome during the Ordination service welcomed the General Superintendent, Rev. Dr. Chidi Okoroafor and his dear wife, The Assistant General Superintendent, Rev. Pastor Ejikeme Ejim and his dear wife, The General Treasurer, Rev. Dr. Vincent Alaje and his dear wife, The Emeritus General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Nigeria and his dear wife, Rev. Dr. Charles Osueke, Other retired officers and Members of the Executive Committee, District Superintendents and other Unit Leaders, Director and Coordinators of the General Council, Ministers of the Gospel, 2017/2018 Ordination Candidates and their family members, Ladies and gentlemen to this year’s ordination service in which a total of 455 candidates was ordained to ministry in Assemblies of God Nigeria. This number was made up of 408 males and 47 females spread across all the administrative units of our fellowship. He congratulated the candidates on their success in both the Ordination Examination and the Induction Programme.
He also said candidates were examined in all subjects that pertain to the ministry.
He thanked the General Superintendent and the other Officers of the General Council for their support at all the stages of the ordination process. He also appreciated the unit heads and their secretaries for their co-operation from the beginning to the end which they witnessed today.
The General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Nigeria (Rev. Dr. Chidi Okoroafor) told the ordination candidates during his message that they should not be too big to serve their masters. He also urged them to be loyal in their service.
The Ordination candidates were anointed and certificates were presented to them as an ordained reverend ministers of the Assemblies of God Nigeria.
